Bach, Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart all feature most years, but there is also a quest to venture into less familiar territory with Havergal Brian and Alan Rawsthorne among the more obscure composers. In recent years, there has also been a tendency to extend the remit. Noel Coward featured in 2007 and in 2011, Hollywood composer Franz Waxman.
