The urge to bring the catch back to the lair is equally difficult to stop. However, two simple tips can reduce the behaviour by up to 90 per cent. First, use a collar with two bells, to warn prey that she is close by. Second, keep her indoors from an hour before dusk until an hour after dawn: this includes the prime hunting periods.
