SIR – Bob Crow, general secretary of the RMT union, is wrong to say that a figure showing that East Coast returned ВЈ209 million to the Government last year “reinforces the RMT case that renationalisation of the entire rail network would save over a billion pounds a year, which could be reinvested in services and capacity” (report, October 9).
