So, yes, it is a hugely difficult job, and it is made even more difficult by the constant changing of the laws. But I think we should up the ante a little. If we are going to put this extra scrutiny and accountability upon the referees, let us pay them more money. And get them fitter — because, if we are honest, some of them are carrying a bit of weight.
